Elena Pastukhova<\/p>\n  <\/p>\n Hi, I\u2019m Elena! I\u2019m one of the Research Coordinators for Active Minds at York University. My job is to write monthly articles pertaining to different themes regarding mental health. I graduated from York with an Honours Biology degree 2 years ago and I am currently back taking a course of personal interest. My ultimate goal is to incorporate my passion for mental health into my future practice as a doctor. I believe that talking openly about mental health is critical in eliminating the stigma associated with it. In my free time, I do weekly home visits for a hospice patient, shadow a doctor, paint and create fruit arrangements. I hope that I can encourage at least one person to seek help if they feel alone in their struggles<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
